PROJECTS PAST AND PRESENT

Interplay has also organised and been involved in other projects, often on a one-off basis. These have included:

• Lantern Parades - we organise weekend Lantern-making workshops leading to participation in a Bonfire Night Parade and Swansea's Santa Parade.
• Performing Arts - Both Circus Eruption and The Rising Stars Theatre Company started life as regular Interplay projects before becoming independent organisations in their own right.
• Easter playschemes - based on the summer playscheme model.
• Easter Choosedays - Easter activities for the 12+ age group where the young people chose what activities they got involved in.
• Blue Light Discos - supporting young people within discos organised by the local police.
• Mediaeval Banquet - A one-off evening of mediaeval fun for all the family at Margam Orangery.
• Giant Sandcastle build - We built the biggest sandcastle ever seen on Swansea Beach with the help of lots of children and a JCB!
• Pirate Party - Pirate themed family fun day with a variety of activities including Treasure Hunt, Fancy dress, Pirate Ship and various games, plus Sea Shanties from local shantymen Baggyrinkle.
• Santa's Workshops - arts and crafts workshops for the 8-11 age group with a festive theme.
• Seasonal parties - Christmas and New Year Parties for families.
• Festive Bowling Parties - food and bowling at a local bowling alley.
• Joiners - a project supporting young people with special needs to join a local club or activity of their choice.
• Street Parties - held behind our offices, these parties are for our users and their families and our neighbours.
• Environmetal Choosedays - a 12+ age project helping the environment.
• Beach Party - to celebrate our 20th birthday.
• RATS - Roving Activity Teams - a resource available to summer schemes which brought arts and crafts etc. with a team of specialist workers.
