FUNDRAISING

Interplay is a registered charity and as such is reliant on fundraising to run the wide variety of activities it is involved in throughout the year.

Core funding comes from both of the local authorities - Swansea and Neath Port Talbot but we have also managed to attract funding from a number of other sources over the years.

National Lottery Charities Board

Children In Need - this has funded part of the summer project on and off over the past 7 years

Alcoa - this enabled us to pilot the year round projects

South Wales Police Blue Light Discos - this has enabled us to run around 10 discos

Woolworth's - We became one of the charities of the year for 2000 for our local branch of Woolworth's which has enabled us to buy equipment and to continue the disco project.

CORE (community education) - this has helped us pilot both summer and weekend Choosedays.

Lloyds TSB - this has enabled us to run the Neath Port Talbot Performing Arts Project.

D'Arcy Development - also instrumental in setting up and running performing arts.

WCVA - Helped towards the running costs but mostly the care, training and expenses of the valuable volunteers of the Performing arts project.

Swansea Housing Association - has helped towards the running costs of the summer project on several occasions.

PLUS - we are very thankful for the donations from businesses, other charities, parents and ordinary members of the public, all of which help Interplay to grow and become strong.
